During a meeting for the UN Human Rights Council on Monday in Geneva, Ala said that the humanitarian situation in Syria is the only one that is discussed in every session of the UN Human Rights Council. “This is the clearest example of the excessive politicization in the work of the council,” Ala added, stressing that the Council’s International Investigation Committee continues to promote groundless accusations against the Syrian government that serve the interest of all who seek undermining Syria and distorting its image. Ala made it clear that the investigation committee adopts wrong approaches that falsify facts and ignore the Turkish and American illegitimate occupation of parts of Syria’s territories and their looting of the Syrian oil and economic resources.
