Who here drinks tea?

Confession….I have drank tea for as long as I can remember. At least 20 cups a day. Tea junkie some would say! Any type of tea. I’ve tried them all. My favourite at the minute is Lemon and Ginger with a teaspoon of Honey. The health benefits have been noticed. I’m in no way trying to plug ‘Twinnings’ here by the way, just so happens that’s the brand I have sitting in front of me but I do also brew my own. So back to the benefits…..soothes and relieves cold and flu symptoms (maybe these Covid-19 patients should be drinking this!;) helps with digestive issues (and keeps your metabolism fired up), strengthens the immune system (definitely no catching this so called beer bug, I drink to much), Detoxifies, excellent for your skin, freshens your breath, (for us girls) it relieves menstrual cramps. Oh and it smells soooo good!

Here’s the recipe to prepare your own……

Prepare by cutting one Lemon into circular slices. Then cut a 2 inch piece of root ginger into thin slices too. Next pour 4 cups of water into a pot and take out the strainer. Let the water come to the boil then remove it from the heat. Add in your Lemon and Ginger and allow it to steep for 20 minutes. Strain the tea into another container. Fill your tea cup, then add your honey. Simple…Enjoy!
